Hadley Tokraks is a Graduate Research Assistant under Dr. William Norris working to obtain a Master of Arts in Agricultural and Extension Education. Focusing on the benefits of urban agricultural education in New Mexico and bridging the gap between rural and urban education. She hopes to research the curriculum taught by urban and rural agricultural educators around the state of New Mexico to grasp a better understanding of how students are affected by agriculture education. Hadley was born and raised in Queen Creek, Arizona where she grew to have a passion for agriculture and teaching the next generation. Stumbling across New Mexico State University her junior year of high school, she made the leap and moved 360 miles away to live in the Land of Enchantment in August 2020. After three years of dedication, hard work, and a long semester of student teaching, she graduated from New Mexico State University and received her Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Extension Education in May 2023. When not spending time at the bottom of the horseshoe, she enjoys being with her friends and playing with her dog, Bruiser. Along with spending quality time with people she cherishes most, she is an avid thrifter and most likely will see her on the weekends moving from yard sale to yard sale. Hadley is excited to be working with fellow students and professors this year as a Research Assistant and continue to live in the beautiful state of New Mexico. Wobble on, Aggies!
